CPrint Solutions

We offer institutions, organisations and companies a print and copy solution for their clients. There may be a situation where printing and copying does not form part of the primary business of an institution, organisation or company, but there are a real on-site need for these facilities. We provide the print / copy facilities, install the systems required to manage the account and transactions and then administrate and maintain the systems and facilities.

CPrint Solutions is a debit system where you first make payments to your system account and then use it at the various facilities. This 16 year old system deducts money on a per page basis while people use the facilities. The system also works locally when the network is down, keeping local facilities running while network repairs are being done.

Figure 2.1 is an example of a CPrint Solutions network. In this example, the server, which keeps record of all the accounts and transactions, has multiple links to it. Some are from head office and some from other locations. At each location there is a pay point, which may consist of personnel or a standalone pay facility, which holds a replica of the server information. In the event that there is a network link failure, or for some reason the server is down, normal operations can continue at each local subnet. This ensures minimal downtime of the facilities, and speeds up processing of transactions.

Are there any infrastructure requirements from the client?

Yes. A network and server is required. In most cases there is already a network and server that can be used, which decreases the setup and installation costs. But we can supply the entire infrastructure as well.

Does the system integrate with other systems?

Yes. The system integrates with several mainframe and enterprise software. A custom integration solution is usually developed for a client since each client's integration requirements may differ.
